RULES

GENERAL RULES

Open Singles, and Doubles events will be played on Swiss League System.
Games will be 8 boards, 25 points or 45 to 55 minutes + 5 minutes to complete the current board, After this coin difference will be counted excluding the queen.
For all events score cards must be signed by both players at the end of each game and handed to the tournament secretary.
The Tournament Secretary is not responsible for mistakes in score cards and once the next round has been generated nothing can be done to correct them. Please make sure you fill in the cards correctly!
Results will be displayed after each round and players are responsible for checking them.
Players not present at their match board within 6 minutes after referee has called “Play”, will lose the entire match as per the rules.
All mobile telephones must be switched OFF during all matches. There will be a penalty of 10 euros for phone ringing during the match.

DOUBLES EVENT

All registered players can participate . Partners do not necessarily have to belong to the same country. Names of partners if not given at time of registration must be given by 19.00 hours on Thursday 23rd June. After this time registration for Doubles event will be closed.
Swiss League System will be used. Seven rounds will be played.
Each round will consist of one game up to 25 points or 8 boards or 45 minutes. After 45 minutes it will not be possible to start another board but 5 minutes will be given to finish the board. After this coin difference will be counted excluding the queen. There will be a final for 1st and 2nd position of one game to 25 points 8 boards no time limit.

SINGLE EVENT

This event will be held as per Swiss League System using the programme called SOL.
The first round will be played on random basis. Subsequent rounds will be decided on the basis of performance as per the programme.
Depending upon number of entries, there will be ten to twelve rounds.
After completion of the league, the two top ranking players will play the best of three games in final for deciding the 1st and the 2nd position, with 25 points or eight boards but no time limit. There will be no final for 3rd and 4th positions.

AWARDS / PRIZES

The top three positions holder of all events will be awarded suitable prizes. There will also be a prize for the first White Slam and first Black Slam, Best Woman Player and Best Under18.

GALA DINNER / PARTY

On Sunday night a special gala dinner will be organized together with the prize giving ceremony.
